Have you ever experienced and noticed changes within yourself, and your life, when you have made a change to your Mindset?

A simple change you can experience in your Mindset can be demonstrated with Gratitude.

By writing down and connecting with 3-5 things you are grateful for, you can completely change how you feel and think.

You may start off by feeling a bit down and afterwards, you may feel more warm and fuzzy with more positive feelings running through your system.

Imagine what would happen if you shifted your Mindset and positively changed your experience of your day, life and self, as a daily practice?

Improve Your Mindset

Identify negative thoughts, identify unhealthy mindsets, understand negative thoughts, the link between negative thinking and your inner critic
I’m not suggesting you would be deliriously happy all the time however, there are a few simple things you can do to create a positive Mindset.

Use the following four (4) tips to reset your healthy Mindset:

Tip #1 – Identify Your Triggers

We all have specific thoughts or events that occur, that lead to automatic negative thoughts.

When you start to feel these negative thoughts and feelings cropping up, write them down so you can identify what is triggering them.

By identifying what is triggering your negative and unhealthy Mindsets, you can start to change the story around it.

Tip #2 – Be Honest With Yourself

Ask yourself the hard questions about what is holding you back from a healthy Mindset.

When you are in a negative Mindset, some questions you can ask yourself are:

  • Am I assuming my view of things is the only possible one?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of thinking this way?
  • Am I assuming I can do nothing to change my situation?

In a state of negative and unhealthy Mindsets, looking after yourself stops being a priority.

Prioritise yourself and spend some time on self-care.

Some easy self-care and re-focusing ideas can include:

  • Going for a 10-minute walk out in nature;
  • Listening to stress relieving music;
  • Eating a colourful and nourishing meal, or
  • Simply hydrating your body.

Self-care doesn’t need to be expensive or time consuming.

Tip #4 – Surround Yourself with Supportive People

Surrounding yourself with friends, family and people who are positive and uplifting will provide you with a greater sense of wellbeing.

Take time out of your schedule to spend time with the people who you feel energised to be around.
